Restore wisely - maximising synergies and minimising target conflicts in European forests
The seminar is based on the policy brief Restore Wisely - Maximising synergies and minimising target conflicts in European forests.
Drawing on the latest scientific evidence, the discussion will examine how forest restoration can be implemented in ways that support biodiversity, climate objectives, resilient forest ecosystems, and the continued supply of renewable raw materials. The seminar will present key policy recommendations, lessons learned from both successful and unsuccessful restoration initiatives, and the economic considerations involved in balancing restoration goals with a strong and competitive European forest bioeconomy.
