The research is of little value until it is known and applied. It is an old saying within Skogforsk, which means that a research project is not finished just because the results documented. Tis is when the important work of knowledge dissemination and implementation support begins.

But there are many obstacles before important new inventions can actually be used in forestry. One obstacle that has become increasingly common - and slowed many good ideas - is: who will pay, or benefit from development gains? Forest Company, the contractor or the manufacturer?
