Based on the first CC meeting, the following research areas are identified as of high priority for OSCAR.

• Forest energy (Technology transfer, Supply chain analyses, Resource mapping, Logistics)
• Machine systems/concepts (e g harwarders, Besten, automation, measuring technology)
• Mechanization of pre-commercial treatment
• Low-impact logging
• Transport (technology, fleet/system design, raw-material handling)
• Forestry business engineering.
