In order to develop general conservation, Skogforsk is monitoring 400 high stumps in the area around Grangärde in Dalarna.

Ash recycling – long-term effects on tree growth

Removal of logging residues also removes nutrients and increases soil acidification compared with logging that only removes tree stems. Can ash recycling counteract these effects? SNS project.
