Research for the future

Climate is changing and pressure on forests is growing. Competition for raw materials is toughening and demand is increasing. Seldom or never have forests been so important for sustainable society as they are today.

Skogforsk is the Forestry Research Institute of Sweden. Our practical research, unique network and sound knowledge of current trends in society and the forestry sector enables us to minimize the step from research to practical application.

Our research

Over 60 researchers in Uppsala, Sävar and Ekebo are engaged in projects focusing on work environment, wood, conservation, forest management, artificial regeneration, forest-based bioenergy fuel, technology and machinery, logistics, enterprise and forest damage. '

Skogforsk is funded by the forestry industry and the government, and through commissions and funds.
